Top 5 AEO, GEO & SEO Agencies in San Jose (2026)

Five AEO, GEO and SEO agencies for San Jose and Silicon Valley tech companies, checked on their own sites, with guidance for technical buyers.

Short answerOur San Jose picks are Lemniscate Growth (our own firm), The Hoffman Agency, Webdogs, Brenton Way and RSO Consulting. Each was checked on its own website in September 2026, and the guide covers developer documentation, Google AI features and privacy signals that affect measurement.

San Jose and the rest of Silicon Valley sell deeply technical products: semiconductors, networking hardware, developer tools, AI infrastructure and enterprise SaaS. Their buyers are engineers and architects who test claims before they talk to sales.

These buyers tend to be early users of ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini for vendor research, and their questions often land on documentation, API references and GitHub pages rather than a homepage. An agency that only writes keyword blog posts will miss much of where your answers come from.

Several firms from the earlier version of this page did not hold up when we checked their websites, so this update replaces them with firms we could verify.

Disclosure: this list is published by Lemniscate Growth, which is included. Last checked: September 2026.

How we chose

  • The firm's website loads and describes a currently operating agency or consultancy.
  • It lists SEO or search services on its own site, and we mention AI search only where the site names it.
  • It has a San Jose or Silicon Valley address, describes itself as based there, or has a Bay Area office and markets to Bay Area companies.
  • Its services fit technical B2B buyers, whether through documentation-heavy sites, WordPress platforms or PR-led visibility.
  • Firms whose sites were blocked, unrelated to marketing or otherwise unverifiable were removed.

Inclusion is based on what each firm publishes on its own site. Entries 2 to 5 are not ranked, and we did not use ratings, awards or client lists.

1. Lemniscate Growth

Lemniscate Growth is a B2B revenue pipeline generation agency with AEO, GEO and SEO as a core service. It is registered in the US and Dubai, runs its team from Hyderabad, and has 35+ active clients with programs built for up to $10M in pipeline per client. For Aavenir, a contract lifecycle management product built on ServiceNow, 90 to 95% of results came from inbound search (Aavenir case study).

Best for: Silicon Valley SaaS, AI and enterprise software companies selling to technical buyers, where search and AI answers need to turn into qualified pipeline.

Services: AEO, GEO and SEO, content written for AI answers and technical readers, technical SEO, and pipeline programs across the funnel.

Why it made the list: This is our own firm, and that is why it is listed first. It fits platform and ecosystem software companies, like Aavenir on ServiceNow, where buyers research deeply before a demo. If you need an agency in the room in San Jose, or you run consumer ecommerce, a firm below may be a better match.

2. The Hoffman Agency

The Hoffman Agency lists its headquarters at 746 The Alameda in San Jose, with offices across the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. It describes itself as an integrated communications consultancy for technology companies, including software, hardware, telecommunications and semiconductors. Its search work has two parts: Earned Search, its term for SEO that pairs audience-focused content with technical optimization, and Earned AI Discovery, an audit of how brands appear in generative AI answers.

Best for: Semiconductor, hardware and enterprise tech companies that want PR, content and search visibility run by one team, especially when Asian markets matter.

Services: Earned media and PR, Earned Search (audits, keyword taxonomies, on-page and off-page work), Earned AI Discovery audits and quarterly tracking, content marketing, social media, and corporate and crisis communications.

Why it made the list: It is based in San Jose and focused on tech. Its AI Discovery work looks at visibility, how accurately AI describes a brand and which sources AI cites, covering Google AI Overviews and China-based models such as DeepSeek, Qwen and ERNIE. It is a communications firm first, so teams that need heavy technical SEO may want a web partner alongside it.

3. Webdogs

Webdogs (styled WEBDOGS on its site) is a WordPress design and development agency that describes itself as based in Silicon Valley, with a footer that reads "WordPress Design & Development in San Jose, Silicon Valley, and Beyond." Its services page lists SEO, described as using best-practice techniques to build search-engine-friendly content and structure. It also lists analytics, Elasticsearch integration, hosting and ongoing site support.

Best for: Silicon Valley B2B tech companies running WordPress or WooCommerce that need site structure and on-page SEO fixed at the platform level.

Services: WordPress and WooCommerce development, website design, support and maintenance, hosting, digital strategy and consulting, on-page SEO, analytics, custom email templates, and Elasticsearch integration.

Why it made the list: It is a local technical partner, and many AI search problems start with site structure, crawlability and clean markup. Its site does not mention AEO, GEO or AI search, so ask how it would handle AI visibility, or pair it with a content-focused agency.

4. Brenton Way

Brenton Way lists a Palo Alto office at 228 Hamilton Avenue, alongside offices in Los Angeles, Woodland Hills, New York and Chicago. It calls its model "embedded, not outsourced," working as an extension of the client's team, and says it uses AI as operating infrastructure while senior marketers own positioning and strategy. Its search service includes SEO and answer engine optimization for citations in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity.

Best for: Silicon Valley SaaS and B2B companies that want search, paid media, lifecycle email and creative from one embedded team.

Services: SEO, AEO, paid media, content and email marketing, social and influencer marketing, brand identity and web design, CRO, digital PR, and AI marketing systems.

Why it made the list: Its Palo Alto office puts a team in Silicon Valley, it names AEO directly, and it says it reports on revenue and pipeline rather than vanity metrics. Its industry list runs from SaaS and B2B to beauty and CPG, so ask to meet the people who work on technical accounts.

5. RSO Consulting

RSO Consulting is a digital marketing consultancy that lists an office address on Market Street in San Francisco. It frames its work around data and spend, with services in SEO, paid search, web analytics and Google Marketing Platform consulting and training. Its AI search optimization service names ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, and includes an opportunity analysis, topical authority work and tracking of mentions, citations and sentiment.

Best for: Bay Area companies with complex analytics setups that want AI search visibility measured alongside SEO and paid search data.

Services: SEO, AI search optimization, AI analytics and search insights consulting, PPC, web analytics, Google Marketing Platform consulting, A/B testing, email and affiliate marketing, web development, and fractional CMO services.

Why it made the list: It serves the Bay Area from San Francisco, publishes a detailed AI search service page, and puts measurement at the center of its offer. It is not based in San Jose, so confirm how often the team can meet in the South Bay if that matters to you.

How to choose an AEO, GEO and SEO agency in San Jose

Treat documentation as part of the search program

Engineers ask AI assistants whether a chip suits a specific workload or whether an API supports a given authentication method. The best answer usually sits in your docs, datasheets, reference designs or changelog, not your blog.

Ask agencies how they would audit those assets. Docs on a separate subdomain, behind a login, rendered only by scripts or blocked by robots rules are easy to miss. Our AEO checklist for B2B websites covers the basics to verify.

Use Google's own rules for AI Overviews and AI Mode

Google's guidance on AI features says a page must be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet to appear as a supporting link, and that no special optimization is required. A stray noindex tag on a docs portal can matter more than a missing blog post.

The same page says traffic from AI features is included in Search Console's overall Web search data. Ask agencies how they will report AI-influenced performance without inventing numbers that the data does not support.

Match the agency to the product and sales motion

Semiconductor and hardware companies sell through long evaluations with many stakeholders, so search content has to serve design engineers, procurement and executives at different stages. Developer tools and AI infrastructure companies often need docs, tutorials and comparison pages more than thought leadership.

A PR-led firm, a WordPress engineering shop and a pipeline-focused agency each solve a different part of that problem. Our San Jose AEO, GEO and SEO page and San Francisco page explain how we approach Bay Area programs.

Expect gaps in tracking data

The California Attorney General's CCPA page says covered businesses must honor Global Privacy Control as a valid request to stop the sale or sharing of personal information, and that the signal is available in browsers such as Firefox, DuckDuckGo and Brave. The same page notes that the exemption for business-to-business personal information expired at the end of 2022.

So no agency should promise a complete view of every visitor. Ask how it will report using Search Console, AI referral data where available and CRM source fields, and have your privacy counsel review any tracking changes.

Questions to ask on the first call

  1. How would you audit our documentation, API references and datasheets for crawlability and AI citation?
  2. Who on your team can read our technical content and catch an inaccurate claim?
  3. Which prompts would you test in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini for our category?
  4. How do you work with our product marketing and developer relations teams?
  5. How will you report results when some visitors send Global Privacy Control signals?
  6. Where is the team that would run our account, and can they meet in the South Bay?
  7. What would you change in the first 90 days, and what would you leave alone?

Red flags

  • No plan to review documentation, subdomains or developer portals.
  • Writers who cannot follow a datasheet or an API reference.
  • Guaranteed citations in ChatGPT, Claude or Google AI Overviews.
  • Advice to publish thin comparison pages at volume.
  • Tracking proposals that ignore opt-out signals or privacy review.
  • AI visibility scores with no prompts, dates or cited sources behind them.

Which agencies on this list have a San Jose or Silicon Valley presence?

The Hoffman Agency lists its headquarters on The Alameda in San Jose. Webdogs describes itself as based in Silicon Valley, serving San Jose and beyond. Brenton Way lists an office on Hamilton Avenue in Palo Alto. RSO Consulting lists a San Francisco address. Lemniscate Growth, which publishes this list, is registered in the US and Dubai and works remotely with a team in Hyderabad.

Does developer documentation help with AI search visibility?

It can. Technical buyers ask AI assistants detailed questions about APIs, integrations and specifications, and documentation is often where those answers live. For Google, pages must be indexed and eligible for a snippet to appear as supporting links in AI Overviews or AI Mode. Check that docs are crawlable, not locked behind logins, and consistent with your marketing pages.

Should a PR firm be on an AEO and SEO shortlist?

For some Silicon Valley companies, yes. AI answers can cite third-party coverage as well as your own site, and The Hoffman Agency pairs PR with an Earned Search service for SEO and an Earned AI Discovery audit. Teams that mainly need technical SEO, site migrations or documentation fixes may be better served by a search or web specialist.

How does Global Privacy Control affect SEO and AI search reporting?

The California Attorney General says covered businesses must honor Global Privacy Control as a valid request to stop the sale or sharing of personal information, and the signal is available in browsers such as Firefox, DuckDuckGo and Brave. If tracking tags count as sharing, some visits will be missing from those tools, so reporting should also use Search Console and CRM source data.
