Health IT is sold to committees that do not want to be sold to. One deal can involve a CIO, a CMIO or CNIO, finance, compliance, information security, procurement and the clinicians who will use the product every day. Each can slow or stop the deal, and most have heard a dozen vendors promise the same outcomes.
This list is for CMOs, founders and revenue leaders at healthcare IT, digital health and health data companies that sell to providers, payers and health systems. It is not about patient acquisition or clinic marketing. We looked for agencies whose own websites show a B2B healthcare, health IT or health tech practice, then checked what each one offers.
Disclosure: this list is published by Lemniscate Growth, which is included. We put ourselves first because it is our list, and we describe every other firm using only what its own website says.
Last checked: September 2026.
How we chose
No firm paid to be included. Inclusion is based on public information on each firm's own website, which we loaded and reviewed in September 2026.
- B2B healthcare focus. A health IT, health tech or B2B healthcare page on the firm's own site. Patient marketing and clinic growth shops were excluded.
- Services that fit a committee sale. PR and analyst relations, content, ABM, demand generation or messaging work suited to long evaluations.
- Currently operating. A live site with 2026 activity, such as dated posts or a current copyright notice.
- Verifiable location. An office or mailing address published on the firm's own site.
- Clarity about approach. Enough detail to understand how the firm works and what it does not do.
We left out firms whose sites now say they are part of another company. We do not rank by review scores, awards or client logos, and the order after Lemniscate is not a ranking.

How to choose a healthcare IT marketing agency
1. They map the whole buying committee
Ask the agency to name the roles in your typical deal and what each one needs to say yes. A CMIO cares about clinical workflow, a CFO about cost and payback, a CISO about security review, and procurement about contract terms. If the plan has one message for everyone, it will stall at the first committee meeting.
2. Marketing operations are HIPAA-aware
Most B2B health IT marketing never touches protected health information, but accidents happen through demo environments, webinar questions and forms. A good agency keeps PHI out of marketing tools, signs a business associate agreement if it could ever handle PHI, and involves your counsel on tracking technologies, which federal regulators have addressed in guidance.
3. Proof is built for scrutiny
Health systems want peer references from similar organizations, outcome data they can check, evidence of integration with their EHR and third-party validation such as KLAS research. Ask how the agency turns your proof into assets for each committee member, and who verifies every claim before it ships.
4. Providers and payers get separate plans
Payers and providers use different language, face different pressures and buy on different timelines. An agency that treats healthcare as one audience will waste budget. Look for separate account lists, messaging and content for each segment you sell into.
5. Events are planned around meetings
The HIMSS Global Health Conference, ViVE and HLTH are crowded and costly, and CHIME events offer closer access to health system IT leaders. The best returns come from meetings booked in advance, small executive dinners and follow-up within days, so ask how the agency fills your calendar before the show.
6. Reporting fits a long cycle
Closed revenue can take many months. Agree on leading indicators up front: meetings with named accounts, evaluations and pilots started, security questionnaires received and pipeline created, all pulled from your CRM.
Questions to ask on the first call
- Which health IT or digital health companies have you worked with, and who sat on their buyers' committees?
- Have you marketed to payers, providers or both, and how did the programs differ?
- How do you keep PHI out of our marketing systems, and will you sign a BAA if needed?
- Who reviews clinical and regulatory claims before content goes live?
- How would you package our proof for a CMIO, a CFO and a CISO?
- What is your plan for HIMSS, ViVE or HLTH, and how do you measure it?
- Which leading indicators will you report in the first two quarters?
- How do you build and refresh our target health system and payer account list?
Red flags
- Case studies about patient volume or clinic bookings presented as B2B health IT experience.
- Requests for patient-level data to personalize campaigns.
- No process for clinical, regulatory or security claim review.
- Guaranteed lead volumes before they understand your deal size and buyer.
- Event plans measured in booth traffic rather than meetings and pipeline.
- Reporting that stops at MQLs and never reaches opportunities with named accounts.
Next step
Health IT marketing rarely fails for lack of activity. It fails when the committee never sees proof it trusts, or when pipeline reporting cannot show progress through a long cycle. If you want to know which of those is holding you back, get a free pipeline audit from Lemniscate Growth and we will show you where health system and payer deals are leaking before you commit budget.
